The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that the application will be processed and the visa will be issued to the investor via email. In the first phase, investors who are citizens of several countries will benefit from this service, in the second phase, visa services will be provided to citizens of other countries.
Recently, the Saudi cabinet has approved the new procedure for issuing visit and transit visas, under which the Saudi Foreign Office issued instructions to use QR codes instead of stickers on passports for visit and transit visas. Under the new system, there will be a QR code on the visit or transit visa.
In this regard, the Foreign Office says that this decision has been introduced under the policy of adopting a new system of employment and visit visas. In the first phase, Saudi Arabia is implementing the e-visa system in 7 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines, in these countries, Iqama, employment, visit, and transit visas have been issued online.
