Kings won the toss and decided to bowl against the Sultans. Multan Sultan's openers Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood gave the team a good start.
Multan Sultans scored 50 runs in the powerplay thanks to brilliant innings by Shaan Masood. After Shan Masood scored 51 runs, he gave the wicket to Shoaib Malik. Mohammad Rizwan maintained his performance against Karachi Kings by building a century partnership with Riley Russo to take the team to 196 for the loss of 2 wickets.
