PSL 8: Multan Sultans beat Peshawar Zalmi by 56 runs | News Hub

   Multan (Newshub Update Latest Cricket PSL8 News 18 February 2023) In the fifth match of PSL 8, Multan Sultans defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 56 runs. In the fifth match of PSL 8, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and invited Multan Sultans to bat first. Opener Muhammad Rizwan 66 and Shan Masood scored 20 runs for Multan Sultans.

   After him, Riley Russo showed a brilliant batting performance and got out by scoring 75 runs off 36 balls. Kieron Pollard scored 15 and David Miller 23 not out. Batting first, Multan Sultans scored 210 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For Peshawar Zalmi, Sufian Moqim one, and Salman Irshad took two wickets.

Peshawar Zalmi were all out for 154 runs chasing a target of 211 runs. Saeem Ayub scored 53 runs from Peshawar Zalmi while opener Muhammad Haris was outstanding with 40 runs. Osama Mirawar Ehsanullah bowled from Multan Sultans and guided three players to the pavilion. Carlos Braithwaite dismissed one while Abbas Afridi dismissed two players.

   It should be remembered that this is the third match of Multan Sultans in PSL8, which lost to Lahore Qalandars by one run in the first match while they won by 9 wickets against Quetta Gladiators. This is Peshawar Zalmi's second match in PSL, in the first match they defeated Karachi Kings by 2 runs.
