Multan (Newshub Update Latest Cricket PSL8 News 16 February 2023) In the third match of Pakistan Super League 8, Multan Sultans won their first victory by defeating Quetta Gladiators by 9 wickets. Multan Sultans won the toss and invited the visiting team Quetta Gladiators to bat. The first 5 wickets of Quetta Gladiators fell soon. Opener Jason Roy scored 27 and Martin Guptill scored 7 runs.
Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed 2 and Abdul Bengalzai 1 run out. Iftikhar Ahmed got out on the very first ball without scoring. Naseem Shah 1, Umar Akmal 11, Muhammad Nawaz 14, Muhammad Hafeez 18 and Muhammad Hasnain scored 22. Ehsanullah gave away 5 players by giving 12 runs in 4 overs while showing excellent bowling on behalf of Multan Sultans.
Osama Mir took one, and Samin Gul and Abbas Afridi took 2 and 2 wickets respectively. In pursuit of Multan Sultan's target of 111 runs, Shaan Masood got out with 3 scores. Captain Muhammad Rizwan scored 28 and Riley Russo scored 78 and returned to the pavilion not out.
