PSL 8: Multan Sultans target Peshawar Zalmi by 211 runs | News Hub

Multan (Newshub Update Latest Cricket PSL8 News 17 February 2023) In the fifth match of PSL 8, Multan Sultans gave Peshawar Zalmi a target of 211 runs to win. Batting first, Multan Sultans scored 210 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

   In the fifth match of PSL 8, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and invited Multan Sultans to bat first. On behalf of Multan Sultans, opener Mohammad Rizwan scored 66 and Shaan Masood scored 20 runs. He was followed by Riley Russo with a brilliant batting performance and got out with 75 runs off 36 balls. David Miller scored 23 and Kieran Pollard scored 15 not out.

   For Peshawar Zalmi, Sufian Moqim took one and Salman Irshad took two wickets. Earlier, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan entered the field for the toss in the fifth match of PSL8 being played at Multan Stadium. Babar Azam said that we have good bowlers, and today's pitch will help the bowlers. Mohammad Rizwan said that there is a new pitch, currently, we cannot estimate it.

   This is the third match of Multan Sultans in PSL8, which lost to Lahore Qalandars by just one run in the first match while Multan Sultans won by 9 wickets against Quetta Gladiators. This is Peshawar Zalmi's second match in PSL under the leadership of Babar Azam, in the first match, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by 2 runs.
