Pakistan (News Hub update news) Following the fall of the PTI government in Pakistan,
the government released data on Twitter, calling the trend of "imported government unacceptable"
fake. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb said in a news
conference and later through tweets that Twitter accounts have been used in the trend. PML-N
spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb said in a data release titled 'Fake Trend Fraud' that a total of 924
accounts were used for this purpose.

According to the news, the number of active Twitter accounts in the trend was 709, the number of
certified human accounts was 177 and the number of accounts like bots or bots was 532. According
to league leader Maryam Aurangzeb, the number of actual tweets was 33.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan's government was overthrown after a no-confidence vote on
the night of April 10-11. Data provided with Trends for more than a week now, which is on the Trends
panel, shows that millions of tweets are being sent to it daily. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has
also mentioned this social media activity in his speeches and instructed his supporters to use the trend
of 'imported government disapproved'.

After the press conference, Maryam Aurangzeb further clarified the matter through a tweet, claiming
that "Twitter had identified the PTI's Bat Army and called their fake trends as spam". According to
League leader Maryam Aurangzeb, "PTI bots are still spreading misinformation by changing words
to spam the digital space."
