According to the Saudi Gazette, holders of the newly introduced stop-over transit visa by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be allowed to drive a car during their four-day stay in Saudi Arabia. Those who come for air travel on transit visas are allowed to drive. While car rental firms may allow transit visa holders to drive rental cars. Car rental procedures can be done through the Ministry of Interior's electronic platform 'Abshar Business'.

Public Security has said in a statement that the procedure for renting vehicles has been simplified. This enables the visitors to save time and not even need to visit a traffic department office in person for the purpose.

It has been learned that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has started issuing electronic stopover transit visas for all-purpose air travelers to Saudi Arabia, effective January 30. The duration of the visa for a four-day stay in Saudi Arabia is three months, this visa is absolutely free and will be issued immediately with the flight ticket. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started this service with the support of Saudi National Airlines.

A transit visa allows travelers to perform Umrah and visit the Prophet's Mosque in addition to participating in tourist activities in Saudi Arabia.

These applications will be automatically transferred to the Ministry of External Affairs' Unified National Visa Platform so that the digital visa can be instantly processed and sent to the beneficiary via email.
