   Dubai (Newshub Update Latest News 02 February 2023) The possible date of Ramadan in the United Arab Emirates has been announced, and the possibility of Emiratis getting a 4-day long weekend on Eid-ul-Fitr has also been revealed. According to Gulf media, the member and chairman of the board of directors of the Arab Union for Astronomy (AUASS), Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, said that this year, the fasting month in the United Arab Emirates will last from March 23 until sunset on Thursday, April 20.

   Apart from this, official holidays for 2023 have also been announced by UAE. In UAE residents will get several long weekends next year, with the possibility of 6 days off. Employees in the public and private sectors in the UAE get equal leave.

   In this regard, the UAE Cabinet has approved the public holidays of 2023 for the public and private sectors. After which UAE residents can now prepare for several long weekends, including 6 days of holidays, the following is the complete list of holidays approved by the government;

   Eid al-Fitr: 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal.

   Day of Arafah: 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah.

   Eid al-Adha: 10th to 12th of Dhul-Hijjah.

   Hijri New Year: July 21.

   Birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH): 29th September.

   UAE National Day: December 2-3.

   Some of the holidays in this list are based on the Hijri Islamic calendar, which will depend on the sighting of the moon.
