   Riyadh (Newshub Update Latest News 16 January 2023) The Saudi government has started considering increasing investment in Pakistan. The official news agency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reported that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, has directed to review the increase of investment in Pakistan to 10 billion dollars. Development was also directed to review increasing the Saudi deposit in the Central Bank of Pakistan to $5 billion.

   This news from the Saudi government came at a time when Pakistan's Army Chief General Asim Munir met the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia in which the development of bilateral relations was considered. For this meeting, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed Pakistan's Army Chief General Asim Munir at the winter camp of Al-Ala, where bilateral relations were reviewed in the meeting, and issues of common concern were also discussed.

   On this occasion, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister of State, and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaad bin Muhammad Al-Aiban were also present. While on behalf of Pakistan, Major General Muhammad Irfan, Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Amir Khurram Rathore, and Military Attaché at the Pakistani Embassy Brigadier Muhammad Asim Munir participated in this meeting. During the visit to Saudi Arabia, Army Chief General Asim Munir also met with the Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, Prince Khalid bin Salman. The army chiefs of the two countries emphasized strengthening and sustaining bilateral relations.

   The Saudi Arabian army chief and other officials were also present in the meeting held in Riyadh. In the meeting, increasing military and defense cooperation between the brother countries was discussed. Regional and international issues of common concern were also discussed on the occasion of this meeting.
