Dubai releases hundreds of Pakistani prisoners  News Hub

   Dubai (News Hub update news) Ramadan is a month of blessings and mercy. In this
month, Allah also bestows favors on sinners, the source of which is other human beings in
His creation. The rulers of the United Arab Emirates announced the release of thousands
of prisoners each year during Ramadan, Eid al-Adha, and Eid al-Fitr. Yesterday, the UAE
government and the ruler of Sharjah ordered the release of hundreds of Pakistani prisoners.

   Hundreds of Pakistani prisoners in Dubai jails have now been released. The Prime Minister
of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the ruler of
Dubai has also ordered the release of hundreds of prisoners during Ramadan. A special
decree has ordered the release of 553 Pakistani prisoners.

   The released prisoners were involved in petty crimes. Earlier, Sharjah's ruler, Dr. Sultan bin
Mohammed al-Qasimi and Emirati President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed issued separate orders
for the release of hundreds of prisoners. UAE President Sheikh Khalifa has ordered the release
of 439 prisoners held in various jails across the country in celebration of Ramadan.
These prisoners include hundreds of Pakistani prisoners.

   The UAE President will pay the dues of the released prisoners. On the other hand, the ruler
of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, has also ordered  the release of 206
prisoners in jails before Ramadan. Most are foreigners, including dozens of Pakistanis. According
to the UAE's state news agency WAM, the released prisoners had a very good record and behavior
in prison. He reformed himself during his imprisonment.

   These prisoners were serving sentences in minor cases. Emirati officials said they hoped
the prisoners would live a good life after their release, earn a living from legitimate means
and provide for their troubled families. The released prisoners thanked the Emirati rulers and
expressed remorse for their past lives and vowed that they would never again succumb to crime
and feed their families with the bread of honor.
