   Abu Dhabi (Newshub Update Latest News 28 December 2022) The government of the United Arab Emirates has announced that from January 2, 2023, it has started implementing annual holidays for citizens who want to start their own business projects working in the public sector. In the UAE's first-of-its-kind project in the world, government employees will also continue to be paid during holidays. 

   According to the official Emirates News Agency, the initiative was first announced in July of the same year by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, through which Emiratis can travel on business while maintaining government jobs. Allowed to commence, this is the first project of its kind in the world. UAE civil servants will also continue to receive half their salaries during this period, annual leave is included in the salaries paid by the public and private sectors. are offered to Emiratis wishing to start their own businesses working in.   

   Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, Acting Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human said that the Entrepreneurship Holiday for Self-Employment reflects the UAE leadership's pioneering vision, which aims to expose the UAE people to the world of entrepreneurship. To encourage them to do so, the Authority worked to develop a guide for self-employment entrepreneurship leave to its civil servants wishing to start their own projects, regulating the procedure for granting entrepreneurship leave to federal agencies.
