to come According to a report by the British News Agency, the world's first energy island of its kind will be equal to eighteen football fields, but it is hoped that it will be completed. The size can be tripled.

   The island will be fitted with 200 giant wind turbines. It is the largest project in Danish history and is estimated to cost 34 billion $. The island, which will be built at sea 80 km from the coast, will

behalf by private companies and half-owned by the government.

   According to the news hub this unique power generation project will not only meet Denmark's electricity needs, but also sell electricity to neighboring countries.

   Jacob Ostergaard, a professor at Denmark's Technical University, said a list of countries had not yet been drawn up, but that Britain could be among the countries benefiting from the project, as well asthe Germany and Netherlands. Under the Danish Climate Act, it was promised in 1990 that carbon emissions would be reduced by 70% by 2030 and the country would be completely free of carbon emissions by 2050.

   Leaders of all political parties in Denmark have supported the project. It will be the world's first artificial energy island in Denmark. The 34 billion $ project will provide electricityto 3 million  households and neighboring countries.
