Gautam Gambhir Give Idea Royal Challengers Bangalore need to look beyond Virat Kohli

   Former India starter and two-time Indian Premier League captain Gautam Gambhir believes it's time for the Royal Challengers Bangalore to seem beyond Virat Kohli as captain.

   Gambhir made his comments on the News hub Cricket T20 outing show after the Royal Challengers lost the Eliminator to Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets, ending their season with seven wins and eight losses.

      Since finishing runners-up in 2016, the Royal Challengers have finished on rock bottom in two of the last three seasons, 2019 and 2017, also finishing sixth in 2018.

   This time, they made the playoffs in net execution rate despite an honest start to the campaign but crashed Friday night together with his fifth straight loss after failing to defend 131. 

   Under Kohli's captaincy since 2013, the Royal Challengers have made the playoffs 3 times in eight seasons. Gambhir said it had been time for Kohli to boost his hand and take responsibility for the results. When asked if he would change the captaincy if he were responsible for the franchise, Gambhir said: "100%, because the matter is one among responsibility. Eight years after the tournament [no trophy], eight years may be a while.

 

    I might the other captain. ... ditch the captain, tell me the other player who would have turned eight and hadn't won the title and gone on with it. So it's to be responsive. A captain must take responsibility. I even have nothing against Virat Kohli, but at some point, he must raise his hand and say, 'yes, I'm responsible, I'm responsible.' "Eight years may be a long time. Look what happened to R, Ashwin. After two years of captaincy [for Kings XI Punjab], He did not perform and was removed.

 The Royal Challengers opened the batting with Kohli for the primary time this season on Friday, after 14 games. Gambhir said that if Kohli had to start out, it should have happened from the beginning of the season, instead of changing the mixture into an elimination game. who has changed over the years, while the captain remains an equivalent,

Gambhir said it had been "very difficult" for people like Simon Katich and

Mike Hesson because if the coaches or team managers were

      "forceful" and involved the captain's removal.

 " Hopefully this might be the ultimate quiet. Where the penny will fall for the franchise.
