   Makkah Mukarramah (Newshub Update Latest News 12 January 2023) The Saudi government has lifted the ban on the number and age limit of Hajj pilgrims for the first time after three years. According to Arab News, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiyyah, has said that the number of people participating in Hajj this year will return to the level before the corona epidemic. There will be no age restriction during Hajj this year.

   According to the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Tawfiq al-Rabiyyah, said that in 2019, about 2.5 million people from all over the world had the blessing of Hajj, but for the next two years, in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus. The number was greatly reduced.

   However, the Saudi government will not impose any restrictions on the number of pilgrims for Hajj this year. Speaking at the Hajj Expo 2023 in Jeddah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiyyah said that from this year's Hajj season, we will allow Hajj missions around the world to partner with any authorized company to provide services in the Kingdom. Together with our partners, we launched the Nasik platform to simplify the process.

   Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiyyah revealed that the insurance of Umrah pilgrims has been reduced from 235 Rials to 88 Rials, similarly, the insurance of Hajj pilgrims has been reduced from 109 Rials to only 29 Rials. Apart from this, the Umrah visa has been extended from 30 days to 90 days and its holder can perform Umrah and visit Medina.

   Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah said that we worked with partners to enrich the cultural experience after performing Hajj and Umrah and activated Islamic historical sites related to the life of the Prophet. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is working to restore 100 Islamic historical sites in the coming years and has invested 200 billion riyals in infrastructure to expand the Grand Mosque, the largest construction project in history.

   Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiya said that we have not neglected infrastructure development, we have worked together with our partners to increase the capacity of pilgrims. We established the largest airport in the kingdom, King Abdulaziz Airport, with 40 billion riyals to serve Hajj pilgrims.
