   Riyadh (Newshub Update Latest News 27 December 2022) The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been named the top donor country in the world. According to the news, the head of the King Salman Center for Aid and Humanitarian Services in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiyyah, has said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided 26.71 billion riyals of aid to low-income countries in 2021, this amount is 7.12 billion dollars in US dollars.

   These figures were released by the Development Assistance Committee under the Organization for Economic and Development Cooperation on December 21 this year. It is the leading donor country for humanitarian and development aid to the country.

   Dr. Abdullah al-Rabiyyah said that the amount that the kingdom provided to poor countries in the form of development assistance during 2021 is 1.05 percent of the total national income of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has exceeded the target set by the United Nations General Assembly and by this standard, Saudi Arabia has become the top donor country.

   The head of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Services in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiyyah, said that the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Services has been continuously engaged in the humanitarian and development assistance mission since 2018, initiated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman. Efforts are being made to register the humanitarian and development assistance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this platform of Saudi aid, the aid has been documented in collaboration with Saudi ministries and departments to highlight the Kingdom's humanitarianism.
