In the match played in Adelaide, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat against the Netherlands. Batting first, Zimbabwe was all out for 117 runs and had set the Netherlands a target of 118 runs to win.
On behalf of Zimbabwe, Sankar Raza scored 40 runs while Shaun Williams played an innings of 28 runs. Apart from this, no Zimbabwean batsman could get into double figures. The Dutch team is yet to win a match in the International Cricket Council event while Zimbabwe beat Pakistan, a win in the match will keep Zimbabwe's chances of being in the semi-final race intact.
The second match of today's T20 World Cup between Bangladesh and India will start at 1 o'clock. If the Bangladesh team defeats India today and Pakistan wins their remaining two matches, Pakistan's hopes of reaching the semi-finals will remain alive.
