Saudi government fines 10,000 riyals for unauthorized Umrah
during Ramadan, a new law enacted

of 10,000 riyals on those who go for Umrah without permission in Ramadan. The Saudi

during Ramadan, and anyone who goes to perform Umrah without permission will have
to pay a fine of 10,000 riyals.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the government will allow only
those who have been vaccinated with the coronavirus to perform Umrah during Ramadan.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, those who need a government permit
to perform Umrah are required must get 2 vaccines for coronavirus. The Saudi Ministry
has said that not only Umrah but also entry into the Haram will be banned during
Ramadan.
Permission will also be required to perform prayers in Masjid Nabavi and Masjid Al Haram.
People praying in Masjid Nabavi and Masjid Al Haram are also required to be vaccinated with
two vaccines of Coronavirus. Violators have been fined one thousand riyals. According to the
Ministry of Interior, Strict security measures have been put in place to reduce the spread of the
epidemic and violators will not be tolerated.
The Interior Ministry has appealed to foreigners and Saudis to obtain a permit for those who
wish to perform Umrah or pray in the Grand Mosque, while security personnel is required to
visit all highways and the Haram Sharif. We will check the permits on the routes and prevent
the violators from going to Haram Sharif.
