South Africa beat Pakistan by 6 wickets, Eden Markram's
half-century
Johannesburg (News Hub Update News) In the second match of the T20 series,
South Africa defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets to tie the series 1-1. In pursuit of the 141-run
target, South Africa's John Mann and Eden Markram gave a good start to the innings. Milan
was bowled out for 15, after which Wahan Lobe came to bat and returned to the pavilion after
playing an innings of 12 runs.
Eden Markram continued batting and completed half a century. Eden Markram was
dismissed for 54 off 30 balls. Van Bulgin was dismissed for 2, but captain Henrik Klaassen
showed responsibility and led the team to victory. Klaassen scored 36, while George Linde
remained unbeaten on 20.
Usman Qadir took 2 wickets, Mohammad Hasnain and Hassan Ali took 1 wicket each for
Pakistan.
Earlier, in the second T20 match of the series being played in Johannesburg, Pakistan
decided to bat after winning the toss. Mohammad Rizwan started the innings with Sharjeel Khan
for the Pakistani team but the hero of the previous match Mohammad Rizwan got out on the first
ball. Sharjeel Khan's innings were also limited to only 8 runs.
Both openers were out for 10 runs. After that, Muhammad Hafeez came to support captain
Babar Azam and both of them tried to make up for the initial loss by forming a partnership of 58
runs.
Mohammad Hafeez made 32 runs with the help of 6 fours in an attempt to play aggressively.
Haider Ali's innings was 12 runs, and Fahim Ashraf's 5 runs. Captain Babar Azam completed half
a century and was seen struggling throughout the innings and finally returned to the pavilion after
scoring 50 off 50 balls.
Hassan Ali hit two sixes in a row but was caught on the boundary in the third attempt.
Pakistan
scored 140 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated overs. For South Africa, Linde and
Lizard Williams took three wickets each, while Sisanda Magala and Tabriz Shamsi took one
wicket each. Haris Rauf and Fakhr Zaman have been replaced by Mohammad Hasnain and
Sharjeel Khan in the final XI. According to the team management, Fakhr Zaman has suffered
from allergies due to which Sharjeel Khan was given a chance in his place in the match.
The South African team did not change despite losing the last match. The Pakistan team
includes Babar Azam (captain), Mohammad Hafeez, Sharjeel Khan, Haider, Ali, Usman Qadir,
Mohammad Rizwan, Hassan Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Fahim Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and
Mohammad Hasnain, while the South African team includes Henry Klaassen. Captain),
Janman Milan, Aiden Mercrum, George Linde, Lizard Williams, Pete Van Bulgin,
Cassandra Magala, Weihan Lobe, Andile Falkayou, Bjorn Hendricks, and Tabriz Shamsi.
