In the third wave of coronavirus in Pakistan, 72 people died in one day and 3,270 new cases came to light.
According to the data released by the National Command and Control Center, the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 13,935 and the total number of people affected by the global coronavirus epidemic has reached 633,741.
The number of active coronavirus patients in Pakistan is 34,535.
The highest number of deaths due to corona in Pakistan has been reported in Punjab province, where 6,039 people have died so far from the disease, while in Sindh province the number is 4,479, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 2,225 people were killed in Islamabad, 548 in the federal capital Islamabad, 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 203 in Balochistan, and 338 in Azad Kashmir.
According to the NCOC, the number of coronavirus cases is 52,676 in the federal capital Islamabad, 299,969 in Punjab, 263,464 in Sindh, 80,519 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 19 in Balochistan. 347, Azad Kashmir 11 thousand 792 and Gilgit-Baltistan 4 thousand 974 people are among the victims of coronavirus.
On the other hand, due to the spread of the global epidemic Corona in Pakistan, all cultural and religious gatherings held in closed places were banned, while the punishment for violating SOPs was decided to be publicized across the country.
It was decided to close all commercial activities at 8 pm, while business activities will be completely closed 2 days a week, however, the federation will fix 2 days to keep business closed. In addition, the meeting decided to ban all types of indoor dining, while only outdoor dining will be allowed till 10 pm, however, food will be allowed to be taken in parcels. The NCOC also decided to impose lockdowns across the country.
The NCOC called for tougher measures in areas severely affected by Corona, including restrictions on movement in high-risk cities. Traveling from one city to another will not be allowed across the country.
Earlier, Asad Omar, the federal minister for planning and head of the NCOC set up to monitor Corona, said that the NCOC had decided to increase the sanctions imposed on Corona, in a message on social media.
Federal Minister Asad said that due to increasing cases of Corona, it has been decided to ban various activities. He said that Islamabad and the provincial administration have been directed to strictly implement Corona SOPs. Minister Asad Omar said that Islamabad and the provincial administration have been asked to crack down on violations of SOPs.
