Lahore Qalandars beat Peshawar Zalmi by 4 wickets

   Karachi (News hub update sports news) In the second cricket match of Pakistan Super League
(PSL) 6, Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 4 wickets. In pursuit of the target of 141 runs, Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar and Fakhrazman started well and scored 29 runs.

   Sohail Akhtar scored 14 runs and gave a wicket to Mujeeb-ur-Rehman. Fakhrazman Wahab Riaz's ball was thrown out of bounds by Shoaib Malik. Mohammad Hafeez and Salman Agha batted well and completed the team's half-century in the 8th over after which Salman Agha was dismissed for a total of 53.


   Ben Dunk scored 22 runs in an aggressive mood but Wahab Riaz's yorker Also completed the work. In the match being played at the National Stadium in Karachi, Lahore Qalandar captain Sohail Akhtar won the toss and invited Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz to bat first. Lahore Qalandar started their first cricket match and Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled Imam-ul-Haq off wicketkeeper Ben Dunk on the first ball.

   Salman Mirza did not give much respite to the experienced Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik and sent to the pavilion Kamran Akmal, who scored 5 runs. Zalmai's third wicket fell at 19 when Haider Ali became Salman Mirza's second wicket.

   Shoaib Malik along with Ravi Bopara took the team close to a half-century in the fourth wicket after which he fell victim to David Visa, at which time Shoaib Malik had scored 26 runs. Ravi Bopara led the troubled Peshawar Zalmai in a responsible manner and completed the team's century in the 17th over along with Sharkfin Rutherford. Shaheen Shah Afridi took the wicket of Rutherford on the last ball of the 17th over and dropped the 5th wicket of Zalmi who scored 26 runs.

   Ravi Bopara also completed the first half-century of the good batting season by Peshawar Zalmi but Shaheen Afridi As soon as his 50 runs were completed, he was caught by Rashid Khan. Daniel made the last over for Qalandar and Zalmai also hit two sixes in this over.

   Peshawar Zalmi scored 140 for 6 in the allotted overs. Emad Butt 23 and Wahab Riaz remained unbeaten on one run, Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets for Qalandars, Salman Mirza got 2 wickets and David Visa got one wicket. Lahore Qalandars bowler Dilbar Hussain is not playing due to a hamstring injury. Salman Mirza is a part of the team in his place.

   It should be noted that in the opening cricket match of PSL 6, Karachi Kings made a victorious start in defending and easily defeated Quetta.


    According to the news hub, Peshawar Zalmi has so far managed to lift the trophy once in PSL while Lahore Qalandar has not won the trophy yet. Lahore Qalandars did not perform well in the 4 seasons of PSL, in the last season of PSL, they managed to reach the final where they lost to Karachi Kings. Peshawar Zalmi's overall performance is better than Lahore Qalandar's.
