Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by 7 wickets

   Karachi (News Hub Update Sports News) In the opening match of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League, Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by 7 wickets to successfully defend their title in the tournament.

   In the match being played in Karachi, Karachi Kings started chasing the target, then Sharjeel Khan hit a four on the first ball of the innings but was found LBW on the 4th ball of the same over by Hasnain. English batsman Clarke was seen struggling at first but he returned the favor by batting aggressively in the overs of Naseem Shah and Qais Ahmed.


   In the next over, an attempt to hit another six off Usman Shinwari's ball caught Azam Khan for 46 off 23 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 4 fours.


   Babar Azam teamed up with Colin Ingram to take the score to 87, Hasnain walked Babar who scored 24 off 20 balls, after Babar Colin Ingram and Mohammad Nabi played responsibly to lead the team to the target, Karachi. Kings completed the target of 122 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the third over.

   By the news hub Earlier, when Quetta Gladiators started the innings, Tom Banton fell victim to rival captain Emad Wasim in the first over. The Quetta Gladiators suffered a major setback when captain Sarfraz Ahmed, who had come to bat as the opener, returned to the pavilion off Aamir Yameen after scoring just seven runs.

   Chris Gayle batted aggressively to complete the team's half-century but from the other end, Saim Ayub, after playing struggling innings, made 8 off 14 balls and gave the wicket to Waqas Maqsood.


   Chris Gayle scored 39 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 4 fours after which Daniel Christian ended
his innings. The Quetta Gladiators had not yet recovered when Nawaz was run out due to a misunderstanding between the wickets. Azam Khan scored 17 runs and caught the midfielder. Ben Cutting could not help the team in difficulty and Arshad Iqbal scattered the wickets of the batsman who scored 11 runs to give his team its seventh victory.

   Mohammad Amir hit Usman Shinwari. He got the first wicket in the match while Hasnain also failed to score more runs. Qais Ahmed was the last player to be dismissed. Arshad Iqbal was the most successful bowler for Karachi Kings with three wickets while Waqas Maqsood took two wickets.

   In the opening match of the sixth edition event being played at the National Stadium in Karachi, Captain Karachi Kings Emad Waseem won the toss and elected to bowl first. After winning the toss, the Karachi Kings captain said that it looks good which will get better with every passing moment in the match.

   According to the news hub, Sarfraz Ahmed said that this is a good track, will try to defend them by scoring runs and maintains their excellent record against Karachi Kings.
