   Mumbai (News Hub Update latest News. October 21, 2023) In the 20th match of the ICC World Cup, South Africa defeated England by 229 runs. In the match being played at the Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai, South Africa's opener Quinton de Kock failed to play a big innings, he was dismissed for just 4 runs. Rasi van der Dusen and Reza Hendricks made a partnership of 121 runs for the second wicket, but Rasi van der Dusen scored 60 runs and Reza Hendricks scored 85 runs.

   Klaasen scored 109 runs, Marko Jansen scored 75 runs, captain Aiden Markram scored 42 runs and David Miller scored 5 runs. Rees Topley took 3 wickets while Adil Rashid took 2 wickets for England. England's batsmen proved to be a wall of sand in pursuit of the target.

   Gus Oakenstein scored 35, Harry Brook 17, Jos Buttler 15, David Vale 12, Adil Rashid 10, Jonny Bairstow 10, David Milan 6, Joe Root 2 and Ben Stokes 5.

   Gerald Kozi 3 while Jensen and Langi Ngadi 2 for South Africa dismissed two players. Earlier, England's captain won the toss and decided to field first. Jos Buttler said three changes have been made to the team, with Ben Stokes, David Willey, and Atkinson part of the playing XI while Chris Woakes and Sam Curran have been dropped.

   On the other hand, South African captain Tumba Bouma withdrew from the match due to fever, so Eden Markram is leading in his place. South African captain Aiden Markram said that he would have decided to field first after winning the toss, but he will try to put pressure on the English side by giving a big target.
