   Hyderabad (News Hub Update latest Sports News. October 6, 2023) In the second match of the ICC World Cup, Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by 81 runs. In the match being played at the Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, Pakistani team opener Fakhar Zaman failed and returned to the pavilion with an individual score of 12 on the ball of Van Beek. Captain Babar Azam was also caught out after scoring 5 runs.

   Imam-ul-Haq was also caught out after scoring 15 runs. After the top order failed, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan took over the team and took the score above 150. Saud Shakeel completed his fifty off 32 balls by showing excellent batting, in which he hit 7 fours and a six.

   Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan also completed 50 runs with the help of 6 fours while batting well, Saud Shakeel returned to the pavilion after scoring 68 runs in the 29th over. Batsman Mohammad Rizwan got out after playing an innings of 68 runs off 75 balls, Iftikhar returned to the pavilion after scoring 9 runs. Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz supported the Pakistani team by forming a partnership of 62 runs, Shadab got out after scoring 32 runs. In the final overs, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi took the score to 286 runs.

   Haris Rauf was stumped after scoring 16 runs, thus the entire team was bowled out for 286 runs in 49 overs. Shaheen Afridi remained not out scoring 13 runs. On behalf of the Netherlands, Bas de Ledde took 4 wickets while Ackerman took 2 wickets, Ariane Dutt, Paul van McRae, and Logan van Beek got one wicket each. Chasing the target of 287 runs, Max O'Dodd was caught out by Hasan Ali for 5 runs while Colin Ackerman was bowled for 17 runs by Iftikhar Ahmed.

   Vikramjeet Singh was the victim of Shadab by scoring 52 runs, Teja Ndamanuru was dismissed for 5 runs and Scott Edwards was dismissed for 0 by Haris Rauf. Saqib Zulfiqar scored 10 runs and gave the wicket of Shaheen Shah Afridi. The Netherlands suffered their seventh loss in the form of a set-beater Bes de Leda, who was bowled out for 67 runs off the ball of Mohammad Nawaz. Van Beek scored 28 and van der Merwe scored 4 more runs and Paul van Meekren scored 7 runs, thus the Netherlands team was bowled out for 205 runs in 41 overs.

   For Pakistan, Haris Rauf took 3 wickets and Hasan Ali 2 wickets while Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Muhammad Nawaz took one wicket each. Earlier, Netherlands captain Scott Edwards won the toss and decided to field first. He said that he would try to start the tournament with success against Pakistan.
