October 31, 2023) Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the 31st match of the ICC World Cup being played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the first victory after 4 consecutive defeats. Batting first, the Bangladesh team scored 204 runs in 45.1 overs. The opener failed to give the team a good start, Tanzid Hasan Safar and Najamul Hasan Shinto scored 4 runs and returned to the pavilion.

   Haris Rauf sent Mushfiqur Rahim to the pavilion, while Iftikhar Ahmed dismissed Latin Das, who scored 45 runs, Mahmudullah, who scored 56 runs, was dismissed by Shaheen. Captain Shakib Al Hasan scored 43, Tawheed 7, Mehidi Hasan 25, Tasin Ahmed 6, and Mustafizur Rehman 3.
