Abu Dhabi (News Hub Update Latest News 12 December 2022) UAE became the first Islamic country to send a mission to the moon. According to the Gulf media, the United Arab Emirates has launched a space journey from the launch center in the US state of Florida using the Rover SpaceX rocket to land on the moon.

The lander of a Japanese company ISpace was also launched along with the Rover Rashid in
the rocket. which will collect dust from the surface of the moon and sell it to the US space agency NASA, and this will be the first time that the moon has been used for commercial activities.

It has been reported that 35 minutes after the launch, the space lander separated from the rocket carrying the UAE rover. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, were present in the control room of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center to witness the historic moment.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center Director General Salim Al-Amari said that we are very happy that it went according to plan, now the journey to the moon is difficult but we have faith in space and hope that everything will be fine. It is reported that the weight of this rover is 10 kg. If it successfully lands on the surface of the moon, it will be the first mission of a Muslim country to reach the moon. In this rover, 2 high-resolution cameras, microscopic cameras, thermal image cameras, and other devices are installed and will be used to conduct research on the lunar surface.

By the way, it is being said that the launch has been successful, but it is not easy to land on the moon because more than one-third of the missions have failed, which is why only the missions of the United States, Russia, and China have succeeded in landing on the moon. The name of Japan and the United Arab Emirates is also going to be added to the list after India and Israel's missions to the moon have failed in recent years.
