Lahore (Newshub update latest Cricket news 21 December 21, 2022) Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has reached the best Test ranking of his career. Babar Azam scored half-centuries in both innings in the last Test against England and advanced to a career-best 875 rating points. On the other hand, Smith returned to third place with scores of 36 and six against South Africa.

   Travis Head scored 92 runs in the first innings against South Africa with the help of six and 13 fours and made it to the top five Test batsmen list for the first time and moved to fourth place in the rankings with 826 rating points. Among the English players, Ben Stokes (+2 to No. 23), Ollie Pope (+1 to No. 28), and Player of the Series Harry Brook (+11 and joint No. 44 for the first time) all progressed.

   Saud Shakeel got the 58th position. Kagiso Rabada was the only player to make significant progress into the top 10 in the Test bowlers' rankings, with the South African fast spearhead moving into third place thanks to four wickets in each innings of the Brisbane Test. Nauman Ali 3 reached the 61st position.
