   Lahore (News Hub Update latest Cricket News 17 December 2022) PSL 8 franchise Karachi Kings has appointed all-rounder Imad Wasim as captain for Pakistan Super League 8. Imad Wasim has been associated with Karachi Kings since the beginning of PSL, for which Imad Wasim has scored 682 runs at an average of 18.43 in 68 matches and has also taken 42 wickets at an average of 35.33.

   On the other hand, the PSL Season 8 draft will be held on December 15 in Karachi, the date and venue of the player draft are decided with the consent of all the franchises. PSL Director Usman Wahla said the availability of all players will make PSL 8 a good event.

   PSL 8 will start from February 9 to March 19 in Multan, Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.

   Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will defend their title. On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board has released the list of international players for selection in the gold category in the upcoming eighth edition of the PSL draft. More than 130 players from England are registered in different categories and 16 players from Australia have been named in the PSL draft while 60 players from Sri Lanka, 45 from Afghanistan, and 30 from Bangladesh are on the list.

   According to the list, Ireland captain Andy Balburnie, Australian hard hitter Ben Dunk, Zimbabwe captain Craig Irwin, and Sri Lankan star Dinesh Chandimal have been included in the gold category for the eighth session. England cricketer Joe Denly, Afghanistan's Ibrahim Zadran, and South Africa's captain Temba Bawama have registered their names in the gold category. Other notable names include Liton Das, Shamra Brooks, Sheldon Cottrell, Zahir Khan, Jack Ball, Shaun Williams, Jordan Clarke, Dom Bess, and other international cricketers.
