   Karachi (News Hub Update latest Cricket News 17 December 2022) The Pakistani team won the toss in the third Test match against England and returned to the pavilion after scoring 304 runs on the first day. In the third and final Test match of the series being played in Karachi, Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and batted first. Shaun Masood and Abdullah Shafiq opened the innings and took the score to 18 but on the same score, Abdullah Shafiq was dismissed by Jack Leach for bringing his pads in front of the wickets.

   In the 13th over, the Pakistani team suffered their second loss for 46 runs when fast bowler Mark Wood caught Shaun Masood out for 30 runs. Azhar Ali and captain Babar Azam made a partnership of 71 runs and brought the score to 117, then the bowler Ollie Robinson caught Azhar Ali out for 45 runs. 

    In the second session, Pakistan's fourth wicket fell at 162 runs when Saud Shakeel was caught out by bowler Rehan Ahmed for 23 runs.

   Mohammad Rizwan was caught out for the fifth wicket of the Pakistani team for 196 runs. At a score of 219, captain Babar Azam was run out by scoring 78 runs. Agha Salman along with the tail-enders took the team to 300. Agha Salman played an innings of 56 runs. Tailenders and Noman Ali scored 20 runs, Mohammad Wasim scored 8 runs and Abrar Ahmed scored 4 runs. Pakistan's innings were reduced to 304 runs when Abrar Ahmed was bowled by Jack Leach.

   On behalf of England, Jack Leech stood out by taking 4 wickets, among other players Rehan Ahmed took 2 wickets while Joe Root, Ollie Robinson, and Mark Wood took one wicket each. The Pakistani team made four changes for the match and along with the injured Imam-ul-Haq, Zahid Mahmood, Muhammad Nawaz, and Muhammad Ali were also ruled out.

   Muhammad Wasim Jr., Shaan Masood, Azhar Ali, and Nouman Ali have been included in the team in his place in the final XI. Wasim Jr. is the 253rd cricketer to play a Test match for Pakistan, he was given the Test cap by veteran batsman Azhar Ali who won the last match.

   It should be remembered that Azhar Ali announced his retirement yesterday and the Karachi Test match is the last match of his international career.


   On the other hand, two changes have been made in the England team where James Anderson has been replaced by Ben Fox and Rehan Ahmed has been made a part of the final eleven in place of Will Jacks.

   The Pakistani team for the Karachi Test match consists of captain Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Muhammad Rizwan, Abdullah Shafiq, Nauman Ali, Azhar Ali, Saud Shakeel, Agha Salman, Faheem Ashraf, Muhammad Wasim Jr., and Abrar Ahmed.

   The England team includes captain Ben Stokes, Ben Duckett, Ollie Robinson, Zach Crawley, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Foakes, Rihan Ahmed, and Mark Wood.
