   Perth (News Hub update cricket news October 30, 2022) In the 17th match of the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup, Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by 6 wickets. In the cricket match played at the Perth Cricket Ground, the captain of the Netherlands won the toss and decided to bat first. Shaheen Shah Afridi caught out Stephen Mayberg for 6 runs in the third over of the innings. In the 7th over of the innings on a total score of 19, Shadab Khan gave Pakistan their second win as Tom Cooper was dismissed for one run.

   Shadab Khan also got the third wicket of Netherlands for 26 runs, he sent Max O'Dowd to the pole for 8 runs. Shadab Khan continued his brilliant performance in bowling and took the fourth wicket for Pakistan.

   Shadab Khan dismissed Colin Ackerman in the 15th over for the Netherlands' score of 61. Naseem Shah dismissed the Netherlands captain for 15 runs in the next over while Haris Rauf bowled the batsman in the 17th over.

   Mohammad Wasim bowled 2 consecutive Dutch batters in the 19th over of the innings. On behalf of Pakistan, Shadab Khan took 3 wickets, Wasim Junior took two wickets while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah took one wicket each. Chasing the target, captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan opened the innings and this partnership lasted only till the last ball of the second over. On the last ball of the second over, Babar Azam was run out after scoring 4 runs.

   Pakistan's second wicket fell in the 8th over with a total score of 53 when Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for 20 runs. Opener Rizwan scored 49 and lost the wicket. In the closing moments of the match, Pakistani cricketers focused on single double instead of improving the run rate, Shan Masood scored 12 off 16 balls while Iftikhar Ahmed scored 5. For the Netherlands, Brandon Glover took two wickets while Paul van Meekren took one wicket.

   Earlier, the Netherlands captain said that they will try to keep Pakistan under pressure by setting a big target. On this occasion, captain Babar Azam said that a change has been made in the team, and Fakhr Zaman has been made a part of the playing eleven in place of Haider Ali. Earlier, the Pakistani team lost its first two matches in the T20 World Cup against India and Zimbabwe.

   Pakistan squad consists of Captain Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Muhammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf.

   The Netherlands is captained by Scott Edwards, other players include Max O'Dowd, Stefan Myburgh, Bas de Leyde, Tom Cooper, Colin Ackerman, Roelof van Der Merwe, Paul van McCren, Tim Pringle, Fred Klaasen, and Brendan Glover.
