In the first Test, Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 116 runs | News Hub

   Harare (News Hub update sports news) Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 116 runs in the first
Test to take a 1-0 lead in the series. When Pakistan started the third day of the first match of the
series in Harare, they had scored 374 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and had a lead of 198 runs
in the first innings. Pakistan lost two wickets for 395 runs.

   Noman Ali and Hassan Ali returned to the pavilion without scoring a run. Pakistan's ninth
the wicket fell on a total score of 412. The last Pakistani batsman to be dismissed was Fawad A
who played a brilliant inning of 140 off 204 balls. Pakistan scored 426 in their first innings and
took a 250-run lead over the hosts.

   Zimbabwe's Blessing Mozarbani bowled brilliantly, leading four players to the pavilion, Donald
Trypano three, Richard Narawa two, and Tendai Chisaro one. When Zimbabwe started the second
innings, the openers gave their team a 48-run lead after which Kevin Kusoza was declared out for
bringing the pads in front of the wickets on Hassan Ali's ball.

   After adding 20 runs to the score, Milton Shamba became Noman Ali's wicket after scoring
only 4 runs. Tassel Masakanda and skipper Brendon Taylor raised the score to 92 when a
misunderstanding between the wickets led to the end of Masakanda's 43-run innings. Regis
Chakabova and Taylor were just 22 runs apart when Noman ended the captain's 29-run innings.

   At this stage, Hassan Ali made a brilliant spell and took 4 wickets in a row to defeat Zimbabwe.
Suffered an innings defeat. For Pakistan, Hassan Ali bowled well and took five wickets for a total
of nine wickets in the match. Yesterday, the Pakistani team took a 198-run lead in the first Test
against Zimbabwe thanks to a century by Fawad Alam.

   It may be recalled that Pakistan bowled well in the first innings and bowled out the hosts for
176 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hassan Ali took 4 wickets each while Noman Ali took one
wicket.
