Drone and ballistic missile attacks on Saudi border areas of Jazan and Najran |
Riyadh (News Hub update News) Drone and missile attacks on Saudi Arabia by the Houthis
of Yemen have intensified in the last few months. ۔ The Saudi air force has shot down ballistic
missiles and explosive drones fired by Yemen's Houthis with the help of an air defense system.
According to Saudi media, the Houthis of Yemen fired two ballistic missiles this morning to
target a key location in the Saudi region of Najran. However, the Saudi coalition forces, with
the help of the latest technology, identified these destructive missiles and destroyed them in
mid-air thanks to the air defense system.
In this way, the Saudi territories have escaped a major catastrophe.
Attempts were also made
to attack Jazan and Najran with explosive drones, but this Houthi attack was thwarted by
destroying the drones before they reached their target. It should be noted that two days ago, the
most modern and developed city of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, once again escaped destruction.
An attempt was made by the Yemeni Houthis to target a key location in Jeddah, but the Saudi
air force thwarted the attack.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Defense, a missile was fired
from Yemen towards Jeddah, which was destroyed in mid-air. Many lives could have been lost
if the missile had hit its target.
A few days ago, another Houthi drone strike on Saudi Arabia was foiled. The Yemeni Houthis
sent an explosive-laden drone to target a civilian population on Saudi soil, which was destroyed
in mid-air. Last week, a boat loaded with explosives was destroyed near the Saudi city of Yanbu.
Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki said that on Tuesday morning, the Coast Guard stationed
at the Yanbu port of the Red Sea saw a boat with no one on board, but the explosive-laden boat
was moving towards one of its targets by remote control. However, the Coast Guard destroyed
it before it could reach its target. The matter is being investigated.
