of Qom, injuring two firefighters trying to put it out.
According to the American News Agency,
dark clouds of smoke are visible in the scenes seen from the Mowaldan Chemical Factory.
A fire broke out at a factory near the religiously important city of Qom in Iran on Sunday.
Citing Iranian media reports, the Associated Press reported that 150 firefighters and 20 fire
trucks had been dispatched to the chemical factory after the incident.
According to Qom Fire Department spokesman Hamid Karimi, firefighters prevented the fire
from reaching the coal tanks. However, several explosions took place during this period, which
affected two fire trucks.
Iranian media also reported that two firefighters were injured in the
blaze, one of them in critical condition.
