PSL 6, Tom Cadmore's half-century and James Vance's 84 runs, News Hub
Karachi (News Hub Update sports news) In the sixth cricket match of Pakistan Super League
(PSL) 2021, Zalmi defeated Sultans by 6 wickets. Imam-ul-Haq and Kamran Akmal
scored 12
runs in the first two overs in pursuit of a difficult target in the cricket match being played at
the National Cricket Stadium. However, the series was broken by Kamran Akmal's aggressive batting
and Kamran hit fours and sixes against other bowlers including Shahid Afridi.
Usman Qadir limited Kamran's innings to 37 runs. Mohammad Rizwan appealed against the decision
of Aleem Dar and the third umpire declared Kamran Akmal as LBW.
New batsman Tom Kohler, who
was playing his first cricket match, along with Imam-ul-Haq,
took the team to 134 runs.
But Imam-ul-Haq was run out for 48 runs. Shahnawaz Dhani bowled Rutherford for 15. Kohler
completed his half-century but was hit by Dhani's ball.
Shoaib Malik
and Haider Ali led the team to victory in the 19th over, with the young batsman
scoring an
unbeaten 24 runs with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Earlier, Zalmi captain
Wahab Riaz won the toss and invited Sultans to bat first. Multan Sultans
started batting and
Mohammad Irfan came for bowling.
James Vance and Mohammad Rizwan
scored 82 off 56 balls. Rizwan caught Imam-ul-Haq on the first
ball of Imran Jr. after the break.
James led the innings with Sohaib Maqsood and completed a
half-century off 39 balls which is his
third half-century in the PSL. Sohaib Maqsood was dismissed for
36 while James Vance was
dismissed for 84 off 56 balls. Which included 9 fours and 3 sixes.
According to the news hub, Multan Sultans scored 193 runs in the allotted overs which is the biggest
the target of PSL so far this season.
Riley Russo scored 14 and Khushdal Shah scored 6
runs. Saqib Mahmood took 2 wickets for
Peshawar Zalmi.
Both the teams made 2, 2 changes for the main cricket match. Zalmi did not include
Ravi Bopara scored a half-century in the last
cricket match while Sultans gave Usman Dar and Shahnawaz Dhani a chance to show their skills.
