Chief selector explained the reason for dropping Muhammad Hafeez from the T20 squad

    According to News Hub Muhammad Hafeez will not be able to join the biosecure bubble due to participation in the T10 league till February 3, therefore he was not included in the squad. The chief selector explained the reason for dropping Muhammad Hafeez from the T20 squad.

    Lahore (Latest News Hub update) Veteran all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez is not part of the Pakistan squad for the T20 series against South Africa. Chief selector Muhammad Waseem on Sunday announced the Pakistan squad for the next three-match T20 series against South Africa. Asked about Hafeez being dropped from the team, Wasim said:

   "Hafeez is in excellent form at the moment and if he had been available he would have been part of the T20 squad. Unfortunately, Hafeez is in the T10 league till February 3. Due to participation, Biosecure will not be able to join the bubble, which is why we have not included him in the squad for the series, Coved-19 Protocol is a must for every player.

   It may be recalled that a series of three T20 matches between Pakistan and South Africa will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. These matches are scheduled for February 11, 13, and 14.
