   Muscat (Newshub Update Latest News 27 January 2023) The Gulf Kingdom of Oman has introduced a new mobile app for finding jobs. The Ministry of Labor has launched the Maak mobile app, which will benefit both job seekers and Omani employers. According to the Omani Ministry of Labour, the application will provide more than 11 electronic services in the first version.

   The application launched by the Ministry of Manpower is a system of personal data of job seekers connected with the respective government agencies to inform them about the available opportunities in public and private, military and security agencies.

   It is stated that the program identifies national action features and projects that the Ministry of Manpower is currently working on. In order to find fundamental solutions that will help job seekers with positive results and contribute to the development of the national economy.

   Apart from this, the Ministry of Manpower has announced the availability of 354 vacancies in various government units. This is the first announcement in 2023 for jobs in the administrative apparatus of the state.

   Also, Oman has issued new rules for work permits for engineers. In this regard, the Ministry of Labor and Manpower has issued a notice to all organizations working in the construction sector to start applying the Professional Accreditation System for all job titles under the engineering profession.

   The Ministry of Labor has directed all working engineers to apply to the Oman Society of Engineers to obtain professional accreditation, which will be a prerequisite for issuing work permits from February 1.
