   Perth (News Hub Update Latest News 2 December 2022) Australia's two-time World Cup champion captain Ricky Ponting was taken to the hospital due to a heart problem. According to media reports, Ricky Ponting suffered a heart attack during the Test series between Australia and the West Indies. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Perth.

   Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, working as a broadcaster for Channel Seven for coverage of the Test series, left commentary during the lunch break at a cricket match. Meanwhile, a Channel 7 spokesperson confirmed that former Australian captain Ricky Ponting is unwell and will not be commentating for the rest of today's coverage.


   Apart from being a part of Australia's three consecutive World Cup victories from 1999 to 2007, he also led the Kangaroos in the 2006 and 2009 editions. It has been more than a decade since Ricky Ponting retired from international cricket, and the 47-year-old cricketer Ponting coached Mumbai Indians in the IPL from 2014 to 2016.
