   Rawalpindi (News Hub Update latest Cricket news.5 December 2022) In pursuit of the target of 343 runs on the fifth day of the Pakistan Rawalpindi Test match, the Pakistani team scored 257 runs at the tea break for the loss of 5 players, while the Pakistani team won the first Test. 86 runs are required. In the first session on the last day of the Test, opener Imamul Haq could not add to his score and got out after scoring 48 runs.

   Wicketkeeper-batsman Muhammad Rizwan completed his 5000 runs in all formats of cricket. Mohammad Rizwan scored 46 runs and was dismissed by James Anderson, while Saud Shakeel, who made a half-century on his Test debut, gave away the wicket of Robinson on the score of 76. Agha Salman 30, Azhar Ali 40, Zahid one run, and Haris returned to the pavilion without scoring.

   Earlier, on the fourth day of the Test, England declared their second innings by scoring 264 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, giving the Pakistani team 343 runs to win.

   In pursuit of the target, the Pakistan team's opener captain Babar Azam scored 4 runs, Abdullah Shafiq returned to the pavilion after scoring 6 runs, while Azhar Ali could not continue batting due to a finger injury. Ben Stokes and Ollie Robinson took one wicket each for England in the second innings. 

   In the first innings, the whole team of Pakistan was dismissed by scoring 579 runs. The England team's opener Ben Duckett scored zero while Ollie Pope scored 15 runs, Joe Root scored 73 runs, captain Ben Stokes scored zero runs, Will Jacks scored 24 runs, and Harry Brooks scored 87 runs.

   Muhammad Ali, Naseem Shah, and Zahid Mehmood took 2, 2 wickets while Agha Salman took one wicket on behalf of the Pakistani cricket team. At the start of the fourth day, Pakistan started the innings with 499 runs at the loss of 7 wickets, Agha Salman 53, Zahid Mehmood 17, and Haris returned to the pavilion after scoring 12 runs on behalf of the Pakistani team. On behalf of the English team, Will Jacks took 6 wickets, Jack Leech 2 wickets, while Ollie Robinson and James Anderson took one wicket each. 

   Pakistani team openers Abdullah Shafiq, Imamul Haq, and captain Babar Azam managed to complete the century. Captain Babar Azam completed his 8th Test century. Imam-ul-Haq scored 121, Abdullah Shafiq 114, Babar Azam 136, Azhar Ali 27, Saud Shakeel 37, Muhammad Rizwan 29, and Naseem Shah scored 15 runs. Will Jacks got his first Test wicket by dismissing Abdullah Shafiq for 114 runs. 

   Imam-ul-Haq was caught out after scoring 121 runs. Azhar Ali was left lbw by Jack Leach after scoring 27 runs. By the lunch break, the Pakistani team scored 298 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Saud Shakeel, who played the first Test, was caught out after the lunch break after scoring 37 runs. Babar Azam was caught out after scoring 136 runs. M Rizwan scored 29 runs and became the victim of J Anderson.

   Naseem Shah was dismissed for 15 runs. Pakistan scored 499 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their first innings. Pakistan team needs 158 more runs and 3 wickets remaining to end the leadership of the English team. In the match played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on the second day, the England team started the game at a loss of 506 runs and 4 wickets. Initially, the captain Ben Stokes got out after scoring 41 runs while Liam Livingstone could score 9 runs. Harry Brooke played an innings of 153 runs while Will Jacks 30, Ollie Robinson 37, and Jack Leach scored 6 runs.


   England team scored 151 runs in 26 overs on the second day while their 6 wickets fell, Naseem Shah 3, Muhammad Ali 2, Zahid Mehmood 4, while Haris Rauf got one wicket from Pakistan cricket team. England team openers Ben Duckett and Zac Crowley gave their team an aggressive start, Ben Duckett and Zac Crowley scored 233 runs in the first wicket partnership, Ben Duckt 107 and Zac Crawley were prominent by scoring 122 runs.

   Among the other players, Ollie Pope stood out with 108 runs. Earlier, England team captain Ben Stokes won the toss and decided to bat. He said that he will try to put the Pakistani team under pressure by playing better in the beginning.

   On this occasion, Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam said that if he had won the toss, he would have decided to bat first. Four players are making their debut in the Pakistan team in the first Test against England, including Saud Shakeel, Haris Rauf, Muhammad Ali, and Zahid Mahmood.
