Pakistan captain Babar Azam completed 1000 Test runs in 2022.
Lahore (News Hub Update Latest Cricket News 20 December 2022) Pakistani cricket team captain Babar Azam has completed 1000 Test runs in this year 2022. Babar Azam is the sixth Pakistani player to score 1000 Test runs in a year. Captain Babar Azam won this honor for his innings of 45 runs on the third day of the Karachi Test against England.
Earlier this feat was done twice by the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Younis Khan, while Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohsin Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, and Azhar Ali did it once each.
Apart from Pakistani captain Babar Azam, only 3 international players have the honor of completing 1000 runs in Test cricket this year, including Jonny Bairstow of the England team, Jurot, and Australian player Usman Khawaja.
It should be remembered that earlier captain Babar Azam became the most Pakistani player to score more than 50 international runs in a year.
