Quetta Gladiators defeated Multan Sultans,

   Karachi (News Hub update sports news) Pakistan Super League (PSL 6) 2021 in the 14th cricket match of Quetta Gladiators defeated Multan Sultans by 22 runs. Multan Sultans won the toss and invited Quetta Gladiators to bat first in the PSL cricket match being played at National Stadium, Karachi. Usman Khan and Saim Ayub got off to a good start and completed a half-century in the sixth over for the team, a major contribution to the Gladiators' first wicket this season.

   Multan Sultans' Imran Tahir scored his first victory on a score of 69 and dismissed Saim Ayub. Saim Ayub scored 23. Young opener Usman Khan proved his choice right by facing 50 balls and scored 81 with the help of 10 fours and 3 sixes. Imran Tahir also got the second wicket of Quetta Gladiators. After Usman Khan's dismissal, Faf Duplessis was dismissed by Sohail Khan on the first ball of the 15th over.

   Imran Khan, playing his first cricket match in the current PSL, bowled Gladiators' in-form captain Sarfraz Ahmed. Sarfraz Ahmed scored only 3 runs. Shahnawaz Dhani took 2 wickets in the 18th over, he first LBWed Azam Khan, who scored 17, and then captain Rizwan took a review on the last ball of the over and the third umpire ruled in his favor and Ben Cutting was also dismissed. Muhammad Nawaz hit fours in the last over of Shahnawaz Dhani but also got out on the last ball.

   Quetta Gladiators scored 176 for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Imran Tahir took 2 wickets and Shahnawaz Dhani took 3 wickets for Sultans. Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan and James Vance got off to a good start in pursuit of the target. Mohammad Rizwan batted well while maintaining his form. James Vance was the first batsman to be dismissed for 24 off 63 balls. Shaun Masood got out on the ball o  Qais Ahmed and scored only one run.


   Qais Ahmed also made Riley Russo run who scored only 3 runs. Muhammad Nawaz dismissed Sohaib Maqsood when Multan needed fast batting. He scored 2 runs and caught Ben Cutting before returning to the pavilion. Mohammad Hasnain dismissed Khushdal Shah and Braithwaite in the 17th over and removed the cricket match from the Sultans. Khushdal Shah was dismissed for 19 runs, Carlos Braithwaite was dismissed for 4 runs, Zahid Mahmood scored 66 in the 18th over.

   Rizwan was caught and Sohail Khan was also dismissed on the next ball. The league sniper had a chance to hit a hat trick but Ben Cutting dropped the catch on the last ball and he could not take advantage of the opportunity. Multan Sultans chased the target. I was bowled out for 154 in the last over and became the first team to fail to defend their collection this season.

   The individual performances of both the captains Mohammad Rizwan and Sarfraz Ahmed have been encouraging.
