Islamabad United won by 6 wickets

    Karachi (News Hub update sports news) In the 12th cricket match of Pakistan Super League (PSL 6) 2021, Islamabad United beat Quetta Gladiators by 6 wickets. In pursuit of the target of 157, Paul Sterling scored 14 in the first over with the help of two fours and one-six. He continued batting at speed and completed his half-century in the fourth over. Zahid Mehmood gave the Quetta their first victory and blew the wicket of Alex, who scored 23 off 13 balls with the help of five fours. 

   Paul also fell victim to Zahid Mahmood but he had scored 56 at lightning speed. Rohail Nazir along with Shadab Khan added 37 runs for the third wicket. Rohail Nazir scored 34 runs and was bowled by Dale Steyn. Shadab Khan was dismissed by Muhammad Hasnain who scored 21 runs. Islamabad United scored 157 for 4 in 17 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.

   Asif Ali (16) and Hussain Talat (1) remained unbeaten. Earlier, in the 12th match of PSL 6 at National Stadium Karachi, Islamabad United captain won the toss and invited Quetta Gladiators captain to bat first.

   When Quetta Gladiators started batting, in Hassan Ali's first over, Saim Ayub scored 5 with the help of a four and caught Paul on the fifth ball. Cameron Delport and Faf Duplessis tried to play aggressively but Faheem Ashraf dismissed Delport. Gladiators were dealt a major blow by Hassan Ali when Duplessis was bowled out for 17.

   Faheem Ashraf also bowled Azam Khan for 41. Ben Cutting played aggressively, the captain of United took the wicket of Cutting on the 5th ball of the 10th over, he scored 23 with the help of six and two fours, captain Sarfraz Ahmed with the help of 4 sixes completed the half-century. Sarfraz Ahmed teamed up with Mohammad Nawaz to take the team from 71 to 134

   Faheem Ashraf dismissed the Gladiators' captain for 54. His innings included three fours and four sixes. Zahid Mahmood was dismissed for 7 runs. Muhammad Nawaz scored 31 off 29 balls. Quetta scored 156 for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated overs. For United, Faheem Ashraf took the most 3 wickets.


   Earlier, after winning the toss, Shadab Khan said It may be recalled that the cricket match between
the two teams was scheduled for yesterday but the cricket match was postponed after United's Fawad Ahmed's Corona test came back positive.


   PSL 6 said on Twitter that before the cricket match, the technical committee had allowed United to include at least two foreign players in the cricket match, adding that Islamabad United currently has only three foreign players.
